  6. I guess what intrigues me the most is whole concept of a fantasy world with a Roman persecution setting. And your lovable characters, of course.

    1. The Roman aspect was really fun to incorporate since I've been so fascinated by it in the last few years.

  16. Anything fantasy and Roman Empire-esque is super intriguing to me! I'm definitely looking forward to reading both this book and Resistance. Couple more weeks to deadline and then I'll have some time on my hands again! Congrats on the release. :)

  17. WHA-HOO! Happy Dance! Congrats on the release!

You know what's so funny? I completely forgot I pre-ordered the ebook. When I saw it delivered in my kindle, I was like: "Oh WOW! It's finally out!"

Now, I'm going to read it after "Resistance"! Karen Hancock's "Light of Eidon" will have to wait! :)

  18. "What intrigues you most about The King's Scrolls? Any thoughts or comments on the series?"

Well...the appearance of dragons! After all of that hinting in Resistance, I'm pumped! :D That, and dragons are my favorite part of fantasy. ;)
As for comments on the series: AMAZING!!! XD It's compelling, the "religion" isn't slapped against a reader's face, the twist on "elves" is handled very nicely, and I CAN'T WAIT TO READ "THE KING'S SCROLLS"!
<(^^<) As soon as all the books come out (and I own them), I'm going to have a reading marathon and (re)read them all at once. (>^^)>

A question: If I'm already subscribed to your emailing list, can I submit the entries anyways?

    God bless,
    -Merenwen

Side note: In the email I got, when I clicked the "enter here" to go to this giveaway, it took me to the November 14th giveaway.

  19. Wow! I saw your interview on Leah's Bookshelf, and you had me hooked when you said your ideal reader would be someone who enjoyed "YA fiction, but are looking for older, more mature characters" and that your books are Christian fantasy. I have not read your first book, but I definitely will now!
Thank you for hosting this give away, and I just wanted to say that your writing journey really inspires me in my own writing journey.
    God bless,
    Gabrielle

  20. Just finished The King's Scrolls! Wow! The only thing I don't like about your books, Jaye, is that they have the undeniable tendency to make me yearn (even painfully yearn) for more. Can't wait until the next one comes out! In the meantime, I'll probably go back and read TKS and Resistance a few more times. :)

I would have to say that the thing that intrigues me most about the Ilyon series is the overall theme of persecution for faith in the one true God. It makes me identify with the characters and inspires me in my own life. I love fiction, but when fiction can encourage me or teach me in real, practical life, then it becomes one of the best things ever.

Keep up the good work, Jaye!

  21. "What intrigues you most about The King's Scrolls? Any thoughts or comments on the series?"

Oh my. I could be here for hours trying to answer that. The masterpiece-quality writing, the intriguing in-depth plot, the depths of emotion, the highly developed relatable realistic characters, the fantastic setting, the adventure, the deep concepts and themes that are explored, the ever-present spiritual focus, the clean refreshing style... I could go on. There's something that makes it stand out - way out - from every other book I've read. It's like it takes all my favorite elements from all of my other favorite books and combines them all with some new favorites thrown in as well.

I haven't even read the other four books, and already Ilyon Chronicles takes the spot as my favorite book series/books/literature.

  22. What intrigues me the most about The King's Scrolls is that Jaye L. Knight is the author. I mean I love Christian fantasy, and this is definitely a book that would catch my attention if I happened upon it in a book store, but because Jaye is the author I know I can trust the book to be an amazing intriguing read that handles faith in the One True God with excellence.
I absolutely love reading, but there are very few books/authors that I love, but I think Jaye L. Knight is right up there with C. S. Lewis, R. J. Larson, and Karen Hancock.

Keep up the good work Jaye! I look forward to reading all of your books!

  23. *grins* Both of the books in the Ilyon Chronicles are fantastic, Jaye! (Also, you have beautiful covers. I love how simple they are, but lovely.)

I can't wait for the third book! I know it will be epic. :D
